What to get your parents
The default gift for moms every Christmas is a classic robe, although this can be a good gift it lacks originality and thought which is crucial to gift giving especially for moms. Diy gifts can seem lazy and last minute but done well, a scrapbook of family memories can mean a lot to a sentimental person. If your mom is usually on the go, a good handbag or tote could truly improve her daily life. If your dad enjoys sports or music, buying a ticket for him is always a good gift, not only will they get a good experience they’ll also get memories that will last a lifetime. For a more in-budget idea, a nice wallet or cologne never hurts. Sophomore, Delaney Rust states “I recommend getting your parents something you know they’d like, I got my mom a water bottle and gift cards”
What to get your significant other
Thoughtful gifts for a significant other are things that involve their interests so they know you listen. An example of this is gift cards to their favorite store or restaurant, a new video game or controller, etc. No girl doesn’t love a classic initial or heart piece of jewelry if she’s not a jewelry person. Comfy slippers she can lounge in never go wrong. A meaningful gift could be a handwritten note with flowers to show you put effort or a framed picture of the two of you. For a boyfriend, a nice watch or sweatshirt to add to his wardrobe.
Sophomore Katrina Le stated, “Matching jewelry is always cute for couples”
What to get a friend
A nice basket full of their favorite candies and snacks with things from their favorite clothing or jewelry brand with a thoughtful card. Self-care things are always a good idea, face masks, candles, nail polish, and a journal. Diy gift ideas are always cute for friends, like matching homemade bracelets. If they’re a beauty person, makeup and perfume are beneficial gifts. Sometimes practical gifts, though they may seem boring can always be helpful, a cute pajama set, fuzzy socks, water bottle, or keychain.
“I love making cute care packages for my friends, they just get everything they like” states Sophomore Valeria Romero-Negron
Hopefully, these ideas will inspire you this holiday season!
