Benson Boone’s New Album is Coming!

Benson Boone is a 22-year-old pop singer who has recently become super popular. Benson Boone is known for his most popular songs like “Beautiful Things”, “Slow it Down”, “In the Stars”, “Cry”, and “GHOST TOWN”, but he is also known for doing cool flips at every concert and music festival he attends. Right now Boone has one actual album, “Fireworks & Rollerblades”. However, he also has many singles like “Pretty Slowly”, “To Love Someone”, “Sugar Sweet”, and “Before You”. Some exciting news has recently been released from Benson Boone. At Coachella, he announced that he is dropping a new album and it’s coming out on June 20, 2025. I will talk more about this new album, but first, let’s talk about Benson Boone himself.

Benson Boone was born on June 25, 2002, in Monroe, Washington. Boone didn’t discover his singing abilities until he was 17, and a junior in high school. After this, he auditioned for American Idol in 2021 and made it to Hollywood. He decided to leave American Idol and go off alone in his music career. He didn’t want to be known just as an American Idol winner and became independent as an artist. Benson Boone’s first ever song released was “Ghost Town”, and it became a huge hit. From just 2021 to 2025, Benson has been to some amazing places and has blown up as a singer. Benson opened for Taylor Swift in London in 2024, appeared at the 2025 Grammys where he sang “Beautiful Things”, and went to Coachella 2025 where he performed with Brian May. Benson Boone has also toured for his album “Fireworks & Rollerblades” in 2024 and as of now is planning on doing 10 concerts all around the country in 2025. 

Benson Boone has performed once in Iowa, on July 31, 2024. He performed at Council Bluffs and put on an amazing show. A few students here at Waukee had the chance to attend and all loved it. One student, sophomore Ansley Ransom, went and said “My favorite part was hearing the songs as he was singing them and seeing Benson interact with the fans and talk like a normal person in between songs.” Benson Boone is an amazing singer, but he is also such a fun and happy person. He brings great energy to all of his concerts and can make everyone laugh. One special moment from the concert in Council Bluffs was when he climbed up a tall metal structure holding up the roof of the stage and when he did his classic backflip. Another great moment is from sophomore Bailey Goldsmith who also went to this concert and said, “My favorite part was probably the end when he sang “Beautiful Things” and everyone stood up and sang with him.”

Now, onto the new album! Benson’s new album is called “American Heart” and as I said will be released June 20, 2025. This will be his second album and sophomore Hannah O’Conner who is counting down the days for this release said, “I’m so excited for his new album because I saw him in concert and I love his music. He hasn’t released anything recently except his single “I’m Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” which is really good and makes me think the album will be just as good.” The song Hannah mentioned “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” was released on February 27, 2025, and is a preview of this new album. All the Benson Boone fans are so excited and we know this album will be great. Go check it out in June!
